FAQ: Which implementation assistance does the EU offer under the Joint Action?

Two forms of assistance are available under this European Union (EU) Joint Action to help States Parties to the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BTWC) adopt appropriate implementing legislation:
  • provision of advice via written communication, and
  • technical assistance visits.
These activities are coordinated by the Legal Coordinator of the BioWeapons Prevention Project (BWPP), which supports the Council of the EU in the implementation of the EU Joint Action.

More detailed information is available from the EU Joint Action website.
